Cara Schaaff writes lesbian stories seasoned with comedy, romance and drama. Writing journals ever since she was a teen, she channeled her hardships struggled with her being adopted, her weight, as well as acceptance of her sexuality. Her colorful writing took her to Full Sail University, where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing for Entertainment.
During school she began infusing horror twists into her work and plans on fabricating some of her ideas in the future. She published her first short story Falling Apart in 2012 and just recently published her second story Shut-It Out in 2014. She is in the process of completing her screenplay The Closure, due for completion Fall 2014.
Cara interned for Hexane Productions in 2014, a production company based out of New York that creates a variety of food television shows for PBS.
She currently began forming her own production company with some fellow film makers. They are currently working on a comedy “Gay Vampire” (if you would like to check out the script it is in her portfolio works under “screenplays”) skit that is in the works to be released in 2016. She is currently writing a short comedy series that will also appear in 2016.
Cara’s involvement in production has inspired her to return to Full Sail University for her Masters in Entertainment Business. It is her intention to expand on her production company and express her creativity through her brand.
